Where: netflix

Rating: 11/10. The best kids show I’ve ever seen. Educational, engaging, exciting, well plotted. I’d watch this as an adult. I missed part of the episode my kids watched today, and there’s a decent chance I’ll go watch it to see what I missed (plot elements carry from episode to episode).

The plot is that carmen was being raised and trained to be a thief by am evil organization (V.I.L.E) which she eventually escaped and uses her training for good, to prevent things from being stolen by V.I.L.E. It’s a well done twist.

The episodes usually have a chase scene or a fight sequence, so 1st grade and up? I don’t know, my youngest turns 5 next week and he loves it. During the last episode there was a car chase through San Francisco complete with close-ups on the driver’s feet to get a load that hot clutch action. It’s that well done.

So go watch it. Seriously. Even if you don’t have kids.

Thanks, I’m currently binging on Superstore which I didn’t know about until last week but I’ll tackle this next. I’m a sucker for YA fantasy like Artemis Fowl, so who am I to be too proud to watch Carmen Sandiego?

B oth were produced out of Boston for two public broadcasting stations so not that big of a stretch to have them work together . My daughter and wife loved Arthur. I loved the Magliozzi brothers because how could you not!

I knew it was back, but haven’t checked it out yet!

Go look up Infinity Train - also a very cool sci-fi-y kids show, but it deals with some pretty big issues! I don’t have kids and I watch it because it’s awesome! I think it’s on HBOMax atm...?

Even better than The Backyardigans? Because it’s hard to beat The Backyardigans, the last kids show I watched even when my kid grew up.

Loved the original and the new series has very high production and writing value . It’s one of the approved TV shows I let my kids watch during the week that isn’t Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, or a educational n etwork.

Its definitely worth the watch. There's a two episode intro, then the main plot. But it really is amazing how thoughtfully the main plot progresses, and a little thing in one episode gets bigger the next

I’m still not sure about Carmen Sandiego being the protagonist rather than her transitional role as the master thief .

Concur, was a good day recently when they dropped new epsiodes. Hits the nostalgia button for me too from playing the game on floppy disc back in the day.

Honorable mention to the always excellent Wallykazam since we’re talking kids showd we dont hate.

What did you think of Artemis Fowl? It got savaged by the reviewers, but we enjoyed it. It really made me want to read the book.

I didn’t realize the movie was out; I saw rumblings about it a year or two ago, but lost track of it.

They even got a good educational blurb. One was about the magna carta, for example. How it came about, why it's important to today's society. It's well done

Wait... There’s a Carmen Sandiego reboot? I remember watching the first season of the original show many years ago... And even though I only saw it that one time, I vividly remember it being very good. And it had an epic theme song.
